walk the line
a classic yet modern mountain retreat
The Rumor design team began working on this home before the foundation was even poured. From plumbing to interior finishes to furniture and soft goods our designers had a hand in it all. This home is an interesting juxtaposition of styles. Overall, the architecture of the home is very modern, so we were tasked with making the interiors feel warm and inviting.
This home has a sophisticated, refined, “Ralph Lauren”esque atmosphere that is achieved by staying true to simplified tones and textures. We were able to strike the balance of modern, yet classic through the interior finishes selected throughout. Due to our involvement from the beginning we were able to incorporate very unique, custom features throughout the home. We made a big impact with small spaces in each of the powder rooms [get info about being made of stone slab and wood base etc.]. We also designed two custom bunk rooms that include custom built-in cabinet closets.
Not only is the home stunning, it has incredible panoramic views through its massive kitchen windows and beautiful indoor outdoor living spaces, both in the living room and the lower level lounge room. No matter the season there is always something to see, from herds of elk in the spring and summer, to skiers making their way down the mountain in the winter.
“Walk the Line” tells a story as we were able to dictate everything that went into it down to the last details. All of the spaces have unique aspects but work cohesively with each other. We are so happy with how this Alpine Mountain Ranch home turned out!
