storm meadows

A dated ski-in/ski-out condo isn’t enough to charge premium rates that attract the modern-day renter. If you want your luxury rental property booked throughout the year, you have to elevate the experience in a way that sets your rental apart from the rest. The owners of this Storm Meadows condo did just that.

Prior to purchasing the potential rental income property, our clients consulted with Valerie Stafford, Lead Designer and Partner at Rumor Designs. They wanted the professional assessment of an interior designer on the viability of a successful redesign within a set budget.

The Rumor Design team was challenged to create an aesthetic that could withstand the wear and tear of nightly rentals while appealing to the tastes of East Coast owners who would enjoy the space on occasion and share with their children and grandchildren. The vision for this project was focused on keeping the design timeless and classic.

The kitchen cabinetry and wood flooring were refinished, which reduced the costs of a full remodel in those areas and left more to work with on the rest of the 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom condo. Our clients selected the paint color for their kitchen cabinetry - a playful, coastal blue that became an anchor for other design elements throughout the space. Our clients are pleased with the mountain modern aesthetic that will attract more renters through all four seasons and is now the place they call home when visiting Steamboat.
