Dancing in the moonlight
Downtown Alpine Elegance: Redefining Mountain Chic
Nestled along the scenic Yampa River in downtown Steamboat Springs, our project aimed to create a luxurious departure from traditional mountain home interiors. With its proximity to vibrant restaurants, bars, and Howelson Hill events, our goal was to capture the essence of "downtown" living. Inspired by our client's love for sleek and high-end aesthetics, we crafted a space infused with metallics, brass accents, and an upscale ambiance reminiscent of luxury resorts.
At the heart of the project was the utilization of backlit onyx, a material our client had long admired during her travels. We incorporated this stunning stone in two ways: a raised tub deck and a wall backdrop behind the vanity, creating a beautiful glow that complemented the client's desire for a high-end feel. To add further dimension and visual interest, we adorned the primary bathroom with a captivating feather wallpaper mural, bringing a touch of grandeur to the space.
The main living area offered a spectacular view of Howelson Hill and featured a spacious patio overlooking the Yampa River, creating an entertainer's paradise. To enhance the allure of the living room, we designed custom shelving surrounding the fireplace, utilizing a shimmery material and incorporating wallpaper and lighting into each cubby for a truly unique, built-in arrangement. In the kitchen, we amplified the drama by using the same quartz material for the countertops, backsplash, and range hood, creating a striking contrast against the off-white cabinets.
Throughout the design process, we remained focused on achieving a balance of sophistication with a touch of glamor. We believe that the end result reflects this vision flawlessly, offering our client an exquisite living space that captures the essence of downtown glamor in the heart of the mountains.
