Any Way You Want It

Our clients, a musician and a multitalented minister, have been visiting Steamboat for years and always loved staying at ski-in-ski-out Chateau Chamonix condos. It is the perfect spot for them, close to the mountain and base area where they spend time and ski with their grandchildren, with a quiet, laid back feel to the area. Built in 1985, the units in this building all have a tremendous amount of character, but after purchasing a residence in the building, these clients felt it time to make some updates and improvements to their home away from home. It was so special to be able to work on this project and stay true to the bones and feel of this building, a true Steamboat Springs staple, while still creating a fun and functional space.

When we first discussed the overall feel of this project, we knew we would be combining two styles based on each of the clients’ preferences. In the end we described their combined style as “classic but mountain eclectic.” After presenting them with the moodboards we felt best achieved this feeling, we received a round of applause over Zoom and got started on executing our design. We really touched every corner of this unit in one way or another. New flooring was laid throughout, we refinished the fireplace wall, added wallpaper, and added new closets and storage solutions. We also renovated both bathrooms and the kitchen and then filled the unit with custom furniture selections and original artwork from Wyoming based artist, Connor Liljestrom.

This was such a fun, unique project to have been a part of! It turned out to be exactly what our clients envisioned as a space to spend time with their family and friends. The cozy condo and its mountain views give them the opportunity to relax, recharge, and get inspired for when they head back to the busy schedules of their day to day lives! We hope they continue to enjoy this home for years to come!
